AirPods will work with anything that handles Bluetooth. The special setup and switching magic, though, only works with Apple devices running the new OS.

I'm expecting them to, if not in tvOS 10 than in 10.1.

one more thing sir, do the airpods fit perfectly in the ear or would they be like earpods which keep falling. If that is the case them buying something this much expensive for the sake of losing is not worth.
