AirTags Firmware is getting an update

I got the update last night and I check it there is no change in it.

Hello and welcome to iMore. The most recent update for Apple's AirTags firmware is 1.0.301. It was released five months ago on April 26, 2022. So unless you just purchased your AirTag, I'm not sure how you haven't received the update. If you need to know how to check to see, here are instructions from Apple's Support site:

1. Open the Find My app.
2. Tap the Items tab.
3. Select your AirTag in the list of items.
4. Tap the name of your AirTag, and the serial number and firmware version will appear.

Apple has apparently released 2.0.61 today.

My tags have not yet received it.

I just find it odd, something like an airtag has to be updated.

It can sound weird, but it runs firmware that can have vulnerabilities. And those need patching.

There has been some progress... one of my two AirTags has been updated to 2.0.61! So, one down one to go.
