Battery Cases

Is there a reason no Battery case can use wired headphones? It seems as though the apple smart battery case is the only that can support any sort of wired headphones regardless of dongle. If that isn't the case is there a brand that allows for wired headphones. I like wired headphones for working out. I leave them in my gym locker, I don't want to worry about charging them and then maybe forgetting them at home or forgetting to charge them. Thanks for your input.

On the latest iPhones, 7 up, you need lightning port headphones (or an adapter), BUT most battery cases need to use your lightning port, for the case. HOWEVER if you can find a case that has a pass thru lightning port then you should be able to plug in headphones.
