I bought a 2 meter cable in October and the cable is to the point where it's showing the inside part of the cable . Will they exchange it easily or not worth the trouble. It still works for now but I would think it's dangerous ?

Don't know about them exchanging it since its been so long but I'm not entirely sure on the warranty of a lightning cable. Maybe check Apples website or someone else here more knowledgeable will chime in.

Ok that's good to hear. Would I need to make an appointment at the Genius Bar or something or just walk in?

Not sure about the need to make a appointment. If I remember correctly from post they were walk ins.

I have not personally experienced it, but I am told that if the device (iPhone/iPad) is still under warranty (AppleCare or AppleCare+) that Apple will also warrant the cables for that device. How do they know it's for "that device"? Guess they use the "honor" thing.
