I have a hands free kit fitted in my car. When I connect my phone, it charges OK, and I can use the remote microphone, but how do I stop the iPhone 5 from going into standby mode, and the screen switching off whilst the phone is connected?

Turn off the "auto lock" function in the phone settings.
