I think I may pay the extra few bucks and get the lightning USB cables from apple. I'm wondering if using these adapters will be awkward when picking up/using the phone while plugged in.

This is a pre-order? I went to the eBay listing and it's saying 'Estimated between Thu. Nov. 8 and Wed. Nov. 14' and pre-order in the listing. I'll probably order one anyways.

Just saw this article and thought I'd share... Apparently someone did a teardown of the new Lightning cable and, long story short, there's a special chip inside the plug to enable the current to flow. Basically no knockoff cables or adapters (unless a third party can figure out what's so magical about this chip)...
