One of my favorites! I use mostly the speck grip but switch to the flip also. Great case!

Haven't tried the Elago yet, just enjoyed your photos.

Does it protect all the way around the phone or is there an opening on the top? And are all the buttons covered?

No it leaves all the buttons open and it's just protected on the sides and corners. Very little bulk though.
