I think they gave up scanning the deliveries. View attachment 19627its been the same since 1:00am this morning.
For some reason mine has just been bouncing around in ZhengZhou. It's SUPPOSED to be delivered on the 28th (originally the 2nd), but I'm starting to worry since it's taken two days to go nowhere:
ZhengZhou, China 09/24/2012 9:25 P.M. Arrival Scan
ZhengZhou, China 09/24/2012 9:10 P.M. Departure Scan
ZhengZhou, China 09/22/2012 4:43 P.M. Origin Scan
ZhengZhou, China 09/24/2012 2:48 P.M. Order Processed: Ready for UPS

Correction: I am even more upset and disappointed than before. I called UPS to get a more detailed status update because the web page did not include an actual delivery date. UPS explained that my phone landed in JFK and was headed to Louisville, Ky. It was 10 miles from my house but has to go to Ky to clear customs. The rep. Indicated that the estimated delivery date is Oct 1, next Monday. A week away. What a waste of resources by Ups. For those of you wondering why it seems your package has languished in Louisville, the reason is that it can take several days for international packages to clear customs.
My hopes have been crushed like a grape.
I explained to the rep That the UPS website was very misleading and at the least there should be something on there about the shipping process so customers would not be upset. I would have been better off if I never saw the website at all. LOL.
Okay the shipping for this is really dumb! It was in Norfolk, VA which is like 10-15 mins away from me, now it's in Richmond,VA which is 2 hours away from me. What the heck? It went to Richmond only to come back to Norfolk / Portsmouth, VA. Crazyness!!
This is what mine looks like for Houston:Could someone in Texas who have received their iP5 being delivered from China, post their UPS tracking info. I would like to see what the route is after KY. If you're in San Antonio, like me, that would be a bonus!
Is that the delivery hub?
Now, see my latest post for the ultimate madness.
My phone is in the hub for delivery. 10 minutes away from me but the phone wouldn't be delivered until the 1st because of the UPS contract with apple. That is the release date apple has instructed and it will not be moved earlier unless apple directs. There are millions of phones for delivery. Do you think that Apple will focus on releasing mine early? It's all about profits and whats the cheapest mass delivery cost for Apple. Lets not kid ourselves. Apple is not this altruistic company that is more benevolent than the United States that some Apple enthusiasts seem to think..
Update:9/25/12. I just called UPS because their delivery website makes no sense. Yesterday, my phone landed in Jamaica and was transported to Louisville to clear customs(see above). This morning I checked the status and the phone is back in Jamaica. Is it being shipped back overseas because it didn't clear customs? No. It is being transported to the local hub in Uniondale for delivery. So, I am thinking I could have it today or Thursday. ( my office is closed tomorrow in respect of the Jewish holiday). Ordinarily, once a UPS package gets to that hub, i will have the package that day. Wait, not so fast. The Ups rep. Said the phone will not be delivered until next Monday, the 1st. It will sit at the hub because of a contract with Apple. Apple tells them when to release the phone. . It's a blame game between Apple and UPS. No other package I have ever received internationally or domestically has gone thru this process.
I am going to call Apple to see if there is a way to move things along but I doubt it. It's probably done this way pursuant to contract so that it is most cost effective for Apple when dealing with millions of deliveries in a short time frame.

I guess it had to go to Richmond for processing or something. I am okay now, as of this morning my phone is out for delivery! But I am still a little worried, I have seen stories of people not getting their phones delivered on launch day or their phone got lost in the mail etc. So I still have my fingers crossed I get it sometime today.

WOW I don't know whats going on with your shipment. Maybe Apple is holding your phone for the next shipment because you pre ordered later in the day when pre orders started?
