iPhone 5 Shipping/Tracking

I originally ordered my phone at 6:00 a.m. PST on 9/14. It has shipped, but it appears to completely missed Alaska? Has anyone else ever seen an Apple product go through Hapeville, GA? I can't find any information on that at all. All of my other products have followed the typical Anchorage, Alaska route.

Omg someone is going to die.

Pre ordered mine just after midnight on the 14th. It was supposed to be delivered by noon in Friday and it didn't show up. Called UPS an it appears to have "fallen off the back of the truck". They have no idea what happened to it. Apple is now running a trace. Good times!

Mine now has the import status as well. Maybe it will come sooner than I thought.

Edit just found out what import scan meant from the ups website.

"Import Scan
This scan is an electronic record indicating the shipment has cleared import procedures in the receiving country."

So that means it has indeed cleared customs!!!!!!! Hopefully, I will get my phone tomorrow as well!! (By the way where do you live THEOGT if you don't mind me asking?)

I ordered mine directly from apple on the 14th and I am with AT&T so I don't know if that will make any difference but I am hoping I will get mine soon (maybe tomorrow as well, since KY isn't that far for Virginia). Has yours departed from KY yet or is it still showing up as import scan? I am hoping they will go ahead and ship mine out sometime today, but its currently still in KY.

I know it's gonna be a few more days, but I've gotta go to some offsite meetings for work for the next two weeks and I originally was in the 10/5 delivery group, so getting it this week would be huge for me since I wind be back home until 10/15. Mine appears to have headed down the same path as yours, but for some unknown reason it went back to ZhengZhou, China...I am also hoping for a delivery by the end of the week, but my hopes are now dwindling! Hope yours went the right way since you don't have the newest item that is on mine and your departure was at a completely different time as well. Good luck!

Dang...Hope they get it sorted out quickly for you. I would expect them to send a new one ASAP, possibly even from the closest retail store overnight, or allow you to go in and pick one up. Of course that depends on what the trace comes up with, maybe it will show up from UPS.

I think many of the phones are bundled on pallets. There is simply no way to scan them all individually, which is why a lot of the times are the same for many people. Based on your tracking info, it looks like your phone was not on a pallet that it was supposed to be on and therefore...the exception. I hate to say it, but it looks like they notified apple and another will have to be sent. This could be a theft by a UPS employee or simply a mistake made from the very beginning.

It certainly appears as though your phone was either never on the pallet that it was supposed to be on, or it was stolen somewhere along the way either by UPS, customs, or someone else and the pallet continued to get scanned assuming it was there...

My iPhone 5 32 Black ordered from Apple originally to be delivered Oct 4 Changed to preparing for shipment Thurs night 9-20 today is Monday 9-24 and it still says the same. Can't track by reference either. My apple care on same order shows as completed on Friday anyone else having a long delay in preparing for shipment stage?

It's now saying it departed KY at 4:34 PM today. Out of paranoia I did another online chat with UPS and they're now saying they can't guarantee tomorrow, but to check back in the morning. If it left KY this afternoon, it will be in Houston tonight, which means it should be out on a truck tomorrow morning, I would think.

Mine shipped out of KY at 5:15pm as well. I am guessing at a Wed. Delivery simply because there is at least two more stops. First to the airport, then to the local hub.

I'm in San Antonio and my iPhone 5 black 64g just got to Anchorage...I was in the Middle East on "Order Day" away from internet access until 8:17am CST and was originally given the October 5th shipping date. Now says that the phone should be here on the 28th...looks like it is going to beat the case and holster I ordered...

Mine hit Houston at 5:39 pm. Impressive that it only took an hour and 5 minute to depart KY and land in TX. Perhaps the times aren't adjusted for timezones.

They are not adjusted for timezones. Mine jumped from Louisville to Lexington (not very far), now I just need it to hit Ohio.

How frustrating APPLE!!!. Tried to cancel my order (delivering Oct 4th) on Sept 20 so I could go into the AT&T store the next am and pick up an iPhone 5 but my order switched to preparing for shipment so I couldn't cancel. Thought ok maybe it will come early. Well it just switched back to processing items!!!! I called apple and they said they switched all the orders to preparing for shipment in hopes they could fill some of them!!! Well now i will have to wait until the 4th to get it when I could easily went to the att store at 7 am (I know several people who did just that) and picked one up!!! I guess I should have cancelled earlier. My own fault for thinking I would get some kind of customer service by pre ordering. AAAGGGGHHHH!!!!
