Sure anything is possible, but I've put on probably 20 shields on in the past and never had any water damage. There are places now that you can get them installed. Not sure if you have one by you. But that would take the worry out for you.

Not sure. Think it's a store by store basis. They may know someone who does if they don't.

Most of the carriers sell them, and outside both of our apple stores is a Zagg kiosk that I believe has them also.

I am on my 3rd one now, and I decided Im not going to bother til I know if this 3rd 4S is going to freak out too.

You had problems with 2 4s iPhones already? Damn. What happened?

First one: went into restart loops, couldn't find or keep a signal. When it did it was 310-410 for the carrier, then it would freak out on me.

Second one: all of the above plus the mic didn't work so no one could hear me when I called. What's fascinating--at the Apple st ore he did a diagnostic when I got there and it showed tht I had made NO calls. Which I know is crap. I was out of town all week with a phone I could not use!

You're not going to notice it right away unless it's speaker or screen related.

Well I originally ordered on Sprint late Oct. but cancelled and re-ordered on AT&T Nov. 1st. So hopefully the bad batch is gone by the time my phone ships.

Just ordered a Zagg and it's the case-friendly one. Do you know if it's a wet or dry application? I've had issues with my last 2 protectors and wanted one that will solidly stick to the screen with a case on the device.

Weird. You would think it would say on their website, but it doesn't. When you receive it, let us know. Just incase someone else asks the question in the future. If you want to call Zagg their # is 18007009244.

Me too! How far in to the screen/glass does this case you're using come in?

I didn't think it was that far, but it does peel/bubble up the screen protector I have now. Hopefully the Zagg will work. The case I have is an iSkin.

So, I ordered my ZAGG from the website nearly a week ago and the status is still 'in process'. I'm not too impressed. I was hoping the web site would be quick and convenient, but it hasn't even shipped yet.

As stated above, anything's possible but it's extremely unlikely unless you're doing it horribly wrong. You only need enough liquid to keep the protector from sticking during application so you can make adjustments. You don't need to immerse the device or soak down so much that liquid seeps into the device.

I've installed them on countless devices without any issues.

Completely subjective. I used to use them but got tired of the orange peel and tackiness. YMMV, of course. There is a lifetime guarantee but there is a fee for using the guarantee each time you request a warranty replacement.

What's your best advice for applying the Zagg shield (wet)? I've tried to apply wet application shields before and I always get bubbles. Any suggestions? Thanks.

First off, spray your fingers. It keeps prints off the shield. 2nd, you'll have a few bubbles in the beginning. It'll take a few days for them to work them selves out. Once you get the shield in place, squeegee the water out and then you can put a hair dryer up to it on low cool and that'll help it dry faster. If you take your time you should be okay. You may want to check your local mall, I know the one by he has a Zagg cart where they install. They come out better then I've ever done.
