I have an iPad and keyboard dock that I was planning on using as a lite desktop replacement. However, it is quite inconvenient to have to lean forward and tap the screen whilst typing. Does anyone know if the iPad is compatible with the magic trackpad? One thing the folks at blackberry got right was the ability to use a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard with it, and the gestures on the trackpad would mesh perfectly with the iPad controls. If it isn't currently supported, what about in iOS 5? Or are there jailbreak apps that can be installed?

Not that I've seen. I have only been able to find Bluetooth keyboards for the iPad in the stores.

Natively the iPad is not compatible with mouse or magic trackpad. Although there are drivers if you are jailbroken. Never tried it personally.

You can only use a Bluetooth mouse in jail broken state. There's an install you put on and it allows you too.

Yea this is probably the closest you could get to a magic trackpad
