iPad 1, otterbox defender and oem apple iPad dock

It clearly states on the otterbox site that the defender case works with the iPad dock.

I bought the dock today and it doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Well I figured it out.
The dock I bought last night was for the ipad2.
Apple does not lable the package for the ipad2 except for a small sticker on the bottom of the box where it says ipad2 even smaller.
