How is the battery of the New Macbook?

How well does the battery of the new 16 inch Macbook do with heavy use? How long does the battery last though the day?

There are several tests of the system where they're compared to other systems and Surface pro so I suggest looking for those.

I didn't see my needs discussed much in tests - using a Windows virtual machine. I got the m5 model now and am pleasantly surprised to have 40% battery left after hours of the virtual machine and Mac apps running.

My not scientific answer for this product would be best of breed or as good as you'll get considering I have an Air, the top Retina 15, tested Surface, and use Windows laptops.
