Whatsapp question

Hi

So this morning I made the dreaded mistake of accidently dropping my phone in water, I have since removed the sim and am currently drying the phone in a bowl of rice and keeping my fingers crossed it works.
My question is once I reinsert my sim will I still receive any whatsapp messages that were sent whilst it was removed? I am awaiting on an important message and am now panicking that it won't come through if and when I manage to get the phone back working.

Yes, all your messages will be received even without sim card insertion at this point. The sim card is only necessary for activation of whatsApp of your device.
