problem when syncing with movies

I downloaded a movie through iTunes on my iPhone- my computer wasn't involved, i did it over wifi on the phone itself- then the next time i synced with my computer, it told me the film "had not been copied to Luke's iPhone because you are not authorized to play it on this computer."

its now not on my iphone, but it is on my itunes on my computer and my computer lists it in the playlist "downloaded on iPhone"

any idea how i can fix this or what's going on?

Make sure in your iTunes on your computer, you have checked to sync videos and that movie is also checked.
