Help music transfer

Hi = I have an iphone and an itunes account. My daughter has a itunes account on her laptop and has some tunes on there I would like. Can I transfer from her itunes account on her laptop onto my pc and then on to my iphone? I tried burning hers to a disc and then putting it into my itunes but whilst it shows the songs it wont let me transfer them , help please

You shouldn't have had a problem with the cd you burned. Did you simply copy them, or did you convert them (first) to mp3 and then burn a music cd?

have you tried the home sharing feature of itunes?
it has worked very well for me
