status bar for ipod on 3gs iphone

Hi!

I've been listening to podcasts on the new iphone, and it usually doesn't have a status bar that tells me how far thru the program I am.

This status bar has appeared from time to time, but just as mysteriously, it then disappears (sometimes right away, sometimes a few days later). Not sure what I am doing that is making it appear/go away.

Does anybody know how to keep the status bar visible?

I don't know how to make it stay there...but all you have to do to get it is to tap the screen when it is unlocked.

Once you tap the screen, it stays open on mine until you tap it again. Works for normal music too, not just playlists.

Just lock the screen when you've turned it on, and you won't accidently turn it off again
