You could try iFunBox , it is kind of like winscp, you can go directly to the camera and extract all of your photos taken from with the phone.

When you plug in the Iphone open up Iphoto on your Mac
and then in the left hand column under devices you should see your Iphone. Click on this then you will see all the photos on your Iphone. Click on the photos you want to transfer and Voila there you go.

Use iPhoto to transfer iPhone photos to Mac easily. If iPhoto is not there on your system, Preview can be used to transfer iPhone pictures to Mac. Check this tutorial for detailed information on both of these and other methods to transfer iPhone pictures to Mac: "http://www.iphone-to-pc.com/how-to-transfer-iphone-pictures-to-mac.html"

Photo Stream can be used to automatically import new photos, without even having to connect the iPhone to your PC

Hi, I'm the developer of an iPhone app called 'Photo Transfer App' that let's you transfer photos from your iPhone to your computer and vice versa over wifi. The photos are transferred in full resolution and you only need a web browser in your computer, no cables and no iTunes required.

I hope you can check it out and find it useful:

    Cheers.

Running iPhoto first and then connecting iPhone is the best way to do it. Once you see the iPhone appear select as many or all pics and click on import. The photos will be copied to iPhoto album and you will be asked whether to delete them from the phone or not.
Moreover, you can follow this page about how to transfer photo/pictures from iPhone to Mac,which give an easy guide to figure out this problem.

Open iPhoto app on your Mac... connect the iPhone to the Mac via USB cable... the phone will show up on the left side of the iPhoto window... and the pictures on it will be on the right side of the app window - you can select the ones you want to import, or all of them - and they will copy into iPhoto and store on your mac... you can then chose to delete them on the phone if desired... iPhoto will also facilitate iCloud photo sharing... and Facebook too.
