I'm having recurring issues with the Homesharing Photo Screensaver on my Apple TV Gen 4.
I have a folder set up on my Mac for Homesharing that consists of all the photos on our photo frames--about 5,400 in total. I use the same folder on my Mac, MacBook Air and PC for screensavers (it is shared in Dropbox).
It works fine on all over devices, and on my Apple TV Gen 3.
However, on the Gen 4, it will quite regularly revert to cycling through photos that are more than 3 years old. They are all accessible through Homesharing, as I can scroll through the entire library on the Apple TV if I go into Homesharing photos. Sometimes it starts working again on its own, but usually we are just looking at the same old photos. None of our kids ever show up, so I know it is missing everything in at least the last 3.5 years.
I've had multiple calls with Apple Support and they seem stumped. Toggling the screensaver on and off and toggling Homesharing on and off (on the Apple TV) don't seem to make any difference.
Any ideas out there?
