If I could go back in time and not watch this movie, I would. It was one of THE worst attempts to take a beloved franchise and reboot it...thanks to Michael Bay and his cronies he hired to direct and produce it. I don't use this phrase often to describe a movie, but this was truly an abortion.

The liberties they took with the story, even considering the differences between the comics and the original films/cartoon were just shockingly bad. They figured out a way to turn the main villain, The Shredder, into nothing more than a side character all because of random, last second rewrites (look it up if you're confused...the Shredder was originally supposed to be played by William Fichtner, but was completely changed about 2 months before release). The story ended up making very little sense, and was just odd and off pace while watching.

The turtles weren't terrible as characters (though they look like Shrek)...and Splinter was actually pretty cool, but that is where any semblance of praise STOPS. Megan Fox destroyed any likeability of April O'Neil and turned her into a forgettable *****...Everyone else in the movie was just fodder...except Eric Sacks, who is supposed to be the main villain (since Shredder was useless), except he was also pointless, and part of the really dumb "origin" debacle.

This movie sucked. Just plain sucked. I wish I could go back, watch the original 3 movies, and just pretend like this thing was never released. There was NOTHING redeeming about it...ZERO reason to watch it and if you do decide to go see it, don't say I didn't warn you.

If I could punch Michael Bay in the face right now, I would.

When I saw the first trailer a couple of months ago and saw who was playing April, I knew I wasn't going to spend a trip to the theater to go see it. And I don't find Michael Bay to be as great as some portray him to be. I think he's the type that needs the project that suits him best.

I have read many negative reviews, and a bunch of positive ones too. Either way, I'm still going to check out the movie. I'm praying I find it more enjoyable than the people who posted negative reviews.

Not taking anything away from you or your review, Sean...so please don't take it that way. I mainly want to see the turtles in action because I actually dig how they look. Fingers crossed!

People actually praise Michael Bay? The guy is a friggin' hack...he'd be making porno if he hadn't struck gold from redundant 90's action movies. I honestly think Jerry Bruckheimer cloned Michael Bay from one of his moles on his buttocks.

I'm about 12 hours post viewing, I've had about 5 good beers in me as well as a pre-season Falcons game...and I'm still fuming about this damn movie. God it sucked so bad...ugh.

Hey man...lots of people try meth after being warned too, I just want to make sure that I did my job in trying to steer you away from this movie.

LOL boy have I missed your reviews! Ok I'm glad somebody else feels the way I do even though I didn't want to see the movie in the first place just because of the trailers (which looked awful) because I can't get over how they look it's so God awful. I'll just stick with the originals. Also Michael Bay is extremely overrated.

The first movie that came out was based on the comics but ever since "The Secret of The Ooze" came out it's been downhill. The second one up to TMNT the animated one were enjoyable but I will just catch this on Netflix once and only once it comes out but a second time, meh.
