Caught this last night off the DVR, but didn't really have a firm grasp as to what it was all about having only seen a couple of the commercials over the last few months.
I have to say i was pleasantly surprised at how good it was! It has the 80's vibe to it, and it's done very well (from set decorations, to cars to clothes)...the story itself (for those that didn't know) follows a couple who are Russian spies, but they are playing the long con and have developed into the normal, stereotypical American family (suburban house, 2 kids, normal jobs, participate in school events, etc)...but their underground activity is far more sinister, kidnapping, murder, torture, espionage...the list goes on and on, and it makes the story really awesome...truly a Jekyll and Hyde situation.
The first episode was great! I highly recommend it...it's very cool to see Keri Russell in that kind of role, I've always saw her as a very feminine character...feeble almost, but here, you get the sense that she is the true bad *** in this scenario, and that her "husband" is the weaker mind (initially anyways, lol). The end was truly satisfying!
