How to watch live TV anywhere (iPad or iPhone)?

I'm a little disappointed that DirecTV Anywhere isn't anywhere. Only at home. I'd like to be at the beach, the park, side of the road, pretty much anywhere and watch live TV (not old shows/movies). Would be nice to see programs like I can on my tv at home. Am I expecting to much or is there a way to do it?

Slingbox is cool not cheap but cool. I have the solo. Works great.

I ever get it and uninstall it from my iPhone at last, as it sucks to watch tvs.
I would like to use other apps to watch movies on the iPhone like Air Video that recommend in iFunia's "Get and Watch Free Movies on Your iPhone 4S/5" list.
