Glad to know I’m not alone. Has happened on my 15 Pro max 4 or 5 times. I have the startup sound turned on and it wakes me up as it powers back on. Did it to me this morning. Shut down around 1ish and turned on at 5.

It happened to me on Tuesday morning on the iPhone 11 Pro. It didn’t happen since.

At least, it didn’t lock out the alarm clock

I haven’t experienced this either. I have an iPad Pro and iPhone15 Pro.

One would think Stephen never heard of a springboard crash. It happened on iOS 16 as well.

But then again I don’t have any meta or google apps installed.

I suspect it’s more than a Springboard crash, because all power logging ceased.

It could be more a kernel panic (which is extremely rare on iOS).

Could be. Mine was brief, came right back on. Apple took the diagnostics, and asked what I was doing when it crashed.

My XS seems to shut down most nights now, I don’t mind too much, so long as it goes back on again when I want it. But I would like to know what it’s up to !
