I message will not connect since the phone got the latest 's update

My operating system updated last night. Ever since then I have not been able to connect to iMessage. I cannot send iMessages on Wi-Fi. Also every time there's an update my sounds go out for about a week. Then magically they appear again eventually

Try the following:

1. Reboot your iPhone.
2. Try resetting the network settings.
3. Since you say can't use send iMessages via Wi-Fi, try rebooting your cable/DSL modem as well as your wireless router.
