how to fix sync session failed problem ?

My iphone hasnt sync with my laptop, everytime it would stop with this messsage sync session failed to finish please help

1. Are you using the latest version of iTunes.
2. Have you tried using a different USB port or a different USB cable?
3. Have you tried rebooting both your laptop and your iPhone?
