How do I reverse the contacts name back to First Name then Last Name when downloading to car?

I had an iPhone 5S that I used to connect to my 2011 Nissan Maxima via Bluetooth and downloaded my contacts to the car and they were in the order of First Name, then Last Name. When I bought my iPhone 6s and downloaded my contacts to the same car, the contacts now display as Last Name first then First Name. How do I reverse the name back to First Name then Last Name? I thought I could fix the issue on my car, so I call a Nissan Tech and he said I would need to talk with someone at Apple. He said it is how the iPhone is sending the contacts to the car.

Got to settings>Mail,Contact, Calendars> scroll down to Contacts. Change sort and display order.
