There are tweaks on Cydia such as CCControls and CCToggles which add additional toggles to Control Center, providing a quick access to some of your iOS Settings. ControlPane is a brand new jailbreak tweak that goes a little further by allowing you to view all of these toggles along with a few additional settings from a convenient and easy to access view.

The tweak displays a sidebar that covers half of the screen and can be invoked via an Activator gesture. The sidebar displays all the important toggles that you may use frequently such as Airplane mode, Location Services, WiFi, vibration, Cellular Data and much more.

Along with these toggles, you’ll find additional settings such as power off and respring buttons along with two sliders for adjusting the volume and the brightness level of your device.

When invoked, ControlPane slides in from the left or the right side of the screen. You can also invoke it by holding down the Lock/Sleep button. Instead of the Power Off slider appearing, you’ll view ControlPane.

Once installed, ControlPane comes with a dedicated preferences pane where you enable or disable it via the kill switch toggle, choose an Activator gesture to invoke the tweak as well as choose the theme of ControlPane. I would recommend that you set the Activator gesture to swiping from the left or the right edge of the screen to view the tweak. This gives a more realistic feeling when invoking the tweak.

You’ll also find additional customization options such as changing the position of ControlPane to the left instead of right, showing separators, displaying a confirmation alert when performing an action and much more.

What I like mostly about the tweak is the blur background which gives a native look and feel to it. However, one of the bugs that I encountered is that it sometimes prevents Control Center from launching when you swipe up from the bottom of the screen. The workaround is to lock your device and unlock it again to make Control Center functional again. Other than this, the tweak works perfectly as advertised without any other issues.

If you’re interested to check out ControlPane, it is available for $1.99 on Cydia’s BigBoss repository and supports iOS 8 devices.
