I'm 19 college athlete, no criminal record.can I get in trouble for selling a iPhone that I didn't know was reported stolen. I bought a iPhone 6plus from a guy on a fb page, I couldn't get my sim card to work with it, so sold it again on Facebook. Shortly after I sold it I got a message from the buyer & she told me she couldn't get it to work either & the phone was reported stolen. (Know I know why my SIM card wouldn't work.) she told me if I don't buy the phone back they are calling the cops!! I do not have the money, can i get in trouble?

The right thing to do is give the lady back her money, and take the phone in to Apple (or the cell carrier if there is one).

As a parent, I'll tell you the same thing I told my kids; there's several dozens of legal ways to make money. Wash cars, mow lawns, pick weeds, babysit, take things you legally own to the pawn shop (xbox, music cd's) etc. etc. etc..
