I didn’t see if it counted freemium subscriptions in the market share. If it doesn’t then Spotify must have in the uber impressive 200 million+ subscriptions. Yet Spotify is in a tough spot. Apple, YouTube, Amazon are not only huge deep pockets but these music services are a value add to bring/keep customers buying the money makers. If Spotify can keep Podcast growth up, that’s good for them. If not the music streaming business is going to squeeze them.
The article didn’t mention Apple Music is available for 99$ for a year (a solid value IMHO).
