I would like to hear opinions on ATT iPhone replacement...

I put my son's old 3gs on my moms line. She carries insurance on her line. A few days later the battery swelled up and destroyed the phone.

My question is what phone do you think Asurion would replace it with?

Do you suppose they have 3gs phones still or would they substitute a 4 or 4s?

It will have a $50 deductible...

You definitely want to contact Asurion on this one. But honestly
If the claim is covered would it make much difference what iPhone they replace it with? A busted 3GS vs a new or refurbished iPhone.4S,5c,5S.

I would suspect they would give you an upgrade if not the cost of insurance goes unused for the fact your deductible will cover the cost of the phone leaving you to pay for the phone with no out of pocket on the insurance side
