Who agrees Siri needs more languages and countries added. here in Ireland we dont have an Irish Siri for the Irish Language and the accent which is disappointing i hope apple change this. i dont know what it is about Ireland and Apple but we never get any cool features for example when iTunes radio first launched we never received that either. we have Apple Music now but they give it to the UK why not Ireland too. I know Ireland is a different country to the UK but its just as easy to give Ireland these features too. This is one thing that annoys me about Apple

I've left feedback with Apple but honestly I don't know if they take it into account much

It'll happen eventually but we are at least a few years out before virtual assistants can really interpret natural language. Siri is actually the worst of all of them IMO.

We can't ask Siri to find restaurants or movie times as these features are not available to us

To me it is much faster to search by typing in search boxes.

Yeah true. But it would be nice to have the option. We still haven't Apple Pay here in Ireland either

Do not know what that is. I pay with cash or debit card. Which works fine.

It's not just about convenience. Apple Pay, or tokenization in general, is a lot more secure than swiping a debit or credit card to make a purchase. And if you regularly use Apple Pay and know what you're doing it's actually much quicker than using a card or cash.

In addition to what DevilishBanker posted, it actually isn't "just as easy" to use cash or a debit card.

Sure it is. Only takes me like 30 seconds to pay by cash or debit card.

What knowledge are you basing this off of? You didn't even know what Apple Pay was until today and you've never used it.

Apple Pay is like you stick your iPhone out and click, it's done. No card to keep up with or lose. Nothing to sign. Just click, and your done.

What if a dishonest employee at a store takes your debit card number and goes home and orders pizza with it? Can't do that with Apple Pay.

Debit cards and credit cards can also be used without your consent if the employee doesn't take care to check it's actually you who owns it. Apple Pay, to my knowledge, requires your phone to be accessed. Much more secure if you have Touch ID enabled. I'm not positive that it only works with Touch ID as it's not available in the country I'm in.

Apple Pay requires use of the TouchID sensor, even if the phone is unlocked.

Apple Pay is quicker than cash, and definitely quicker than credit/debit card if it takes you 30 seconds. Compared to a credit/debit card, it's a lot safer (no number to steal, no magnet strip to clone/copy). All it takes is putting your fingerprint on the TouchID sensor, and touching it to the credit card terminal. Even if your phone is unlocked, someone will need your fingerprint to activate it.

Once you've tried it, you'll have a better idea of whether it's better or not. do you have a phone with TouchID?

I think Apple to make a true contender needs to open up Sirir's abilities more like Google's and Microsoft's. Its great that they have many languages which allows more people to use Siri, but that usage is limited (as compared to say Cortana)

I wonder what it truly takes ($$ wise) to expand Siri to all those languages. Though if you want to be a global corp (which they are) seems the devices should work unless there are other limits on features imposed by local governments.
