Why can't Siri hear me?

why cant siri hear me?

am i doing something wrong, it hasnt even requested to use the mic. do i not have a mic? no i do ive used it on other apps, idk what to do. ive never been able to use it from the start, a year ago. im using an ipad mini 2 or second gen i believe. thanks

Yes, you have a mic, and Siri works fine for me on my iPad mini. Do you have a case on your iPad that might be blocking the mic? Have you verified you have Siri enabled (see below)?

Hold the Home Button down for 2 seconds. When the Siri screen comes up, tap the screen and you should see the mic at the bottom.


Tap the mic and talk to Siri.

Go to settings, general, siri, and make sure it is enabled.
