We all love are phones and they have become an extension of our self’s, as far as personal data goes I feel safe, but on the other hand I feel the smartphone was the best invention for government to track its citizens.

i take my own security over Apple any day.

The way i think of it,, While u can say iPhone's are personal devices, that only extends to the way we use them as well....

It doesn't matter what Apple does, u can always get round it... it you've got an internet connection: change dns. use a VPN etc...

Apple doesn't have control over which VPN u must use, so therefore they have no control over the websites u can go to using it.
