Has anyone experienced hair line crack happen across their screen unexpectedly on the iPhone XS Max? Had the phone for three days and an unexpected crack appeared.

Hi have a 2016 Mac Book Pro (non Touch Bar). My issue is it will not recognize my external Toshiba hard drive or my external CD/DVD Rom. Has anyone experienced this issue? My old 2012 Mac Book Air worked perfectly with these two devices without an issue.
