Weather - Rain Alarm for iOS Adds More Coverage

Greetings! First of all, I am NOT the maker of the app, but I ought to share this information which may be useful to others who are interested in weather forecasting and radar data. I am referring to Rain Alarm by Michael Diener - Software e.K. (used to be by Carlos Aviles). Looks like they...

i want to unload my photoes from my i phone but it says it is locked how do i unlock it

Why was the phone locked? The only known LEGAL way to unlock the iPhone is to either enter the digit passcode (or use TouchID in newer models). Even so, if ILLEGAL means were available, doing so would erase the phone prematurely, causing massive data loss (including the photos). You would need...

    does portrait mod shoot raw?

Not sure if the question was the ability to shoot raw/dng format or to shoot with s shallow depth of field. Shallow depth of field is a result of either a combination of or one of the following: large aperture, long focal length, large sensor. Unfortunately, none of these are present in mobile...

    Live Photos

What exactly is the purpose: some people would like to preserve not just a single frame of a moment but what happens shortly before that and shortly after that. It's basically a shorthand of taking a very short video with a photo taken separately exactly in the middle. One difference, however...

    Iphone 6s camera freeze delay

This happened to me once (iPhone 6s, 128GB, 10.0.1, but not in 10.0.2). All I did was to reset the phone (power button and home button pressed simultaneously until the Apple Logo reappears) and the problem never reoccurred. You would need to join iMore to be able to reply in this thread should...

    Re: Burst shot selection

Re: Burst shot selection Yes, you can select from the other photos from the burst group, as long as you haven't deleted them yet (both from the Camera Roll folder and from the Recently Deleted folder - which deletes photos after 30 days). Simply swipe back to the main burst group and select as...

Is it true that we have to wait till our battery is at 20% and below to charge it

If you keep using the device on a regular basis, yes.

Is it true that we have to wait till our battery is at 20% and below to charge it

Yes, that means you will never reach the factory-level 100% (2725 mAh) of your battery, but you can still reach 100% of the remaining 95% (2589 mAh). The phone battery level indicator bases its power level report on the usable amount of power, not the total factory-level power. That means, right...

Is it true that we have to wait till our battery is at 20% and below to charge it

I disagree. The huge discharge-cycle incurred during battery calibration does have wear effects on the battery chemical matrix. This is the reason it is not recommended to perform this more than needed (not more than once a month).

iPad Air: My Camera Shutter Sound Isn't Turning Off

Have you tried: - restarting your device? Simply turn it off then turn it on again. - performing a soft reset? Press and hold the power button and home button together until the device turns off, turns on, and the apple logo appears.

Is it true that we have to wait till our battery is at 20% and below to charge it

Re: To charge only when it is less than 20%? Lithium-based batteries (including Li-Po) indeed do not have battery memory effects, but they still suffer from battery wear. With this, one must try not to let the battery undergo a charge-discharge cycle that is greater than 50%. That means that...

Why does my iPhone enter into a bootloop after startup?

Re: Iphone Enters bootloop after startup Have you tried leaving your phone plugged in for about 15 minutes before trying to turn it on again?

How can I take pictures of a book?

You'll have to position the light in such a way that the reflection won't go to your camera. Try using a small desk lamp, position it around 9 inches at the top of the book with the book flat on a table, then take a photo using your phone directly above the page. Hold a sheet of blank white bond...

Rain Alerts/Notifications outside the U.S. and Europe?

If it was a joke (I'm poor at jokes): If only the sky weren't so cloudy. If it wasn't a joke (as you can see, I'm poor at jokes): I'm planning to get a Netatmo personal weather station, in addition to my vintage 1800s barometer, thermometers, and analog and digital hygrometers.

Rain Alerts/Notifications outside the U.S. and Europe?

So far, I've tried almost 50 weather apps in the App Store, kept around 30 or more of them installed. Out of that 30+ weather apps, only two give notifications/alerts for incoming rain: - Rain Notification (by Tube Player, Inc.), and - 1 hour before Rain (by David Mac Cartney). I'd say the...
