I would argue that this, as always, is pretty much a shaming tactic and a shakedown to get Apple to commit to providing funds to the powers that be.
It’s not that Apple is doing anything legally wrong. I suspect some people within that region want a piece of the pie.
Maybe I’m in the minority, but once I’ve wiped the phone, given it away or turned it in to Apple, I don’t care what happens to it at that point because I’m too busy enjoying the new one.

I’m sure it was. I watched almost ¾ of the movie, but I simply couldn’t get into it so I turned it off and started watching something else. I do want to try and finish it, but I’m not in a rush to do so.
