Yeah, it'd be silly and a bad business move of them to give first priority to people who did not preorder and just turned up on release day. They probably have 2 separate holds of stock - one for in-store and for online and pre-ordering.

I think it's pretty much the perfect size. Seems like a lot of phones today are going back to the old "brick" style because of the screen size primarily. The iPhone still feels compact and the screen is more than acceptable.

If you've done a factory reset and it hasn't worked, your best bet is to return the phone to the Apple Store. They usually instantly replace it.

Don't see why that couldn't work. It's just a swap of SIM's. Obviously be sure to clear out all your data from the phone, and copy contacts to your SIM.

Pretty much this. They take a while to process the order, so unless you can really cope being iPhone-less for at LEAST 3-4 weeks, I wouldn't do it.

I'd use it for my music lessons, playing the music out loud for my students to hear, rather than through the rather poor speaker in the iPhone. Would be really beneficial for them to hear what they should be playing out loud, and then in the headphones too. And out of lessons I'd use it at home...
