    iOS7 GM and Windows incompatibility

I can confirm what Peligro911 said above -- I did the Shift / Update rather than Shift / Restore and all of my data is intact, so a resync with iTunes is not necessary.

    iOS7 GM and Windows incompatibility

Really. So it didn't format prior to install?

    iOS7 GM and Windows incompatibility

No question, but this is the first version of iOS 7 requiring an unavailable version of iTunes in the entire development cycle.

    iOS7 GM and Windows incompatibility

It's absolutely absurd that Apple would release the Gold Master to developers and then require a specific version of iTunes that is not yet compatible with Windows -- the most-used operating system on the planet. Hate on it all you want, but facts are facts, and this is idiotic. I have an...

Lightning Dock Alarm Clocks - iHome Release?

It's working fine for me -- go to their home audio page and click the filter for Lightning ports and it should work. Not sure why it wouldn't be working.

Lightning Dock Alarm Clocks - iHome Release?

Looks like iHome has finally released the iDL45 -- iHome iDL45 Dual Charging Stereo FM Clock Radio with Lightning Dock and USB Charge/Play for iPad/iPhone/iPod I'm waiting for the iDL100, which has 2 lightning ports on top to charge 2 devices.

Lightning Dock Alarm Clocks - iHome Release?

The adapter makes it sit pretty high, and the lightning adapter is so small, I'd be afraid that it would snap off or something. I want a little more support for it.

Lightning Dock Alarm Clocks - iHome Release?

Hi everyone: I've been waiting for iHome to release their new iDL100 or iDL45, but there hasn't been any news on these since CES back in January. Right now I can't charge my phone on my nightstand because my cat has an unhealthy obsession with phone charging wires -- and has destroyed every...

iPad 3 cases / accessories with iPad 4?

I guess the big test will be the speakers. I really like the Targus slim cases, but no word from Targus yet on whether their cases will work.

iPad 3 cases / accessories with iPad 4?

The change to the lightning port notwithstanding, should cases, etc, made for the iPad 3 work with the 4? I thought I'd read that there would be no additioanl changes to the dimensions/enclosure, but was nervous to purchase anything. Liking the Targus Slim case, but didnt' want to drop any...

Buying iPad 3 - Should I Wait for Refresh?

I'm curious how much of the rumors will actually come true, and, more importantly, if they are releasing refreshes, when are they going to be available. Presumably there's a new aluminum cover coming, and by this time (a week before the event) there's generally leaks of images and mock-ups...

Buying iPad 3 - Should I Wait for Refresh?

Hi everyone: I've made the decision to purchase an iPad 3. I have an iPhone 5 and am going to try carrying around my iPad in place of my much heavier, non-LTE equipped laptop. I'm gnashing my teeth wanting to walk down the street to the Apple Store and buy this thing, but I'm reading rumors...

    Verizon Hotspot Issue w/ Wifi

Yes, the wired tether works fine, as does Bluetooth tether (although I get missing driver errors for the device.) I just prefer WiFi -- was unsure why it takes so long to start broadcasting. Glad I'm not the only one.

    Verizon Hotspot Issue w/ Wifi

Hi everyone: So I'm testing out using my phone as a wifi hotspot while I'm traveling on the train. Aside from the fact that when the hotspot is activiated, if LTE drops off, Verizon does not switch back to it once you enter a new LTE zone, I'm having the following problem. For whatever...

No simultaneous voice/data for Verizon (Sprint?) iPhone 5????

I honestly think it was more a design/manufacturing decision than anything else.... but that being said, Apple can be very vindictive as a company at times. There's a hubris surrounding Apple that turns me off sometimes. After all, Verizon did pass on the iPhone originally and then launch an...

No simultaneous voice/data for Verizon (Sprint?) iPhone 5????

Sigh. Figures. Well, a buddy of mine who owns a Thunderbolt says he's able to get dual voice/data, even with LTE turned off. He lives in New Jersey, near Cherry Hill. Maybe Verizon upgraded some of the towers around Philly. Maybe.

No simultaneous voice/data for Verizon (Sprint?) iPhone 5????

unfortunately it looks like it is. As I understand it, the Android devices that support dual voice and data are 1) SVDO capable, and 2) have 2 antennas -- one for CDMA/EVDO, one for LTE. LTE does not support voice at all, so the way it works is, when your data is pulled down via LTE, you can...

No simultaneous voice/data for Verizon (Sprint?) iPhone 5????

The only reason I still preordered it was because I'm in the exact same situation. Was just hoping I could use my iPhone 5 hotspot to get LTE on the laptop, rather than my slow 3G WWAN. BUT -- I do think we will see this become a much bigger issue for people who want to use the turn-by-turn...

No simultaneous voice/data for Verizon (Sprint?) iPhone 5????

I would 100% agree with this sentiment, before the Apple developed its own mapping and turn by turn GPS software. I think we may see a lot more people needing this feature.
