I have to go with InCase. I absolutely loved the Power Slider for theipone 3G. Now I have the 4S with an InCase case on it. I just didn't care for the Otterbox.

Granted, the transfer speeds aren't spectacular, but it DOES work. This has the potential to now be a portable network connected drive that auto syncs with DropBox. :) BTW, in Windows just map a network drive and use the same address. It works just as well!

Looks like it's only a partial fix. It fixed the iPhone issue. The rest appears to be caused by Jailbreak on the iPad. Restored already. Re-syncing now.

I'm seeing some MADDENING behavior when trying to do a restore. Both my iPhone and iPad start a restore and click along happily until at some point the both throw an error saying any number of applications weren't installed and the restore fails. Kaput. ever see this before? How does one stop it...

Has anyone tried any of the Privacy Screen Protectors available for the iPad? Since I use my iPad at work a lot I'm seriously considering one. Reviews (those I can even find) seem on the iffy side, but sound a lot like the person that applied the screen protector did a poor job of it...

Do you have a Gizmo5 account? It might work that way. Then you're not using the Whistle servers.

Looks like the single largest hurdle is the number of wifi hotspots that block the SIP ports on the firewall. Wasn't able to make a call from the airport this morning. :)

It is. It works pretty flawless on th eipad so far.

I've, personally, found that the Gizmo5 client for the desktop is an abysmal failure with exceedingly unreliable audio. YMMV.
