A speaker/wireless mesh device/always on Siri microphone

Ok, I have been dreaming about a Siri speaker since Apple bought Beats. And Amazon has shown how popular it could be with the Echo. With the end of the AirPort Extreme, I am wishing too for them to create a mesh wireless network. Why not put them together? One for each room! Since they have microphones, not only could Siri be a "hey Siri" away all the time, but if you put enough of them in a room, they could listen and create surround sound (or you could tell them what speaker they were - right side, etc.). I love my old stereo receiver - but I have been dreaming of Apple cutting me loose from the 1970s era tangle of cables which rules my entertainment center!

Yep! This would be great. If I'm not wrong, you're talking about a setup like Google Home but with Siri right?
