Did Niantic fix the "full access to google account" thing yet?

The reason why I am asking this question is because I recently installed the Pokemon Go app on my phone, but I have not signed up yet because of the full access issue, and there was one Facebook post on an article that deals with pokemon Go. I read the post and it states that if you sign up with a google account, then Nintendo has full access to everything including your google search history, that was why I was asking this question.
