Photographing small objects

Quick tip for all you smartphone photographers. When you are taking a picture of a small object on a bar, table or floor turn the phone upside down. This gets the lens lower than your subject and makes the images much better. Same as when photographing kids, you don't want to shoot down on them, you want to be at their level or lower.
