Straight from iPhone 4 with zero editing. Because of the nature of the competition, I believe editing colours to make them appear richer is cheating. This Japanese Maple (Acer) is usually a pale green. It turns this vivid red just before the leaves fall off, which is when and why I captured it.

I also think it looks like a love heart.

I just noticed I've just missed the deadline, but I've uploaded my photos anyway since I just got back from the Lake District, UK. I used Camera+ to adjust slightly.

P.S. Is there a way to do this from my iPhone so I wouldn't have missed the deadline?
P.P.S. The upload photos window could do with providing some feedback...
