hey guys...curious if anybody here uses any physical accessories to enhance their photo/videography. if not, i wanna share some examples. [note: i'm using a ipod touch 4 and iphone 3gs]
1. THE TRIPOD + TRIPOD MOUNT
the thing i LOVE about iOS devices is the accellorometer. with this i'm able to hold the tripod upside down to catch some shots i otherwise wouldn't be able to get. [because lets face it, the zoom on the iphone, or ANY digicam, is horrible]
example:
raw footage of the result:
Meerkats Up Close - YouTube
2. WIDE ANGLE/FISHEYE LENS
i have a wide angle/macro lens coming in the mail, and hope to test that out when i get it. but the fisheye is EXTREMELY useful...especially for you that like to shoot from the hip. it allows you to get a much wider view of your subject, without having to be so far from it:
or it'll give you a much wider scope of whats going on:
i've been looking into getting into portable lighting for shoots...but haven't found anything cheap.
when i upgrade to the iphone 4 [or 4S?] i'm DEFINITELY gonna invest in a set of color gels to tint the flash. it looks like this:
the results come out like this: [shot on a film camera using a double exposure with a RED flash and BLUE flash]
