What is the range of the Pebble Smartwatch?

What's the range for this device cause my girlfriend works in a deli and leaves her iPhone in her purse

For me, every time I leave my phone in my office to use the restroom, it disconnects. There are thick concrete walls involved as well. At my house (three-story split-level), at times the phone will try to connect with the Pebble in my office on the first floor.

When your phone and watch disconnect, do you have to manually reconnect them through the app, or any other means through the phone, or does it act like most BT devices and automatically reconnect when in range?

I'd heard problems about them in the past, and that's why I held back on purchasing one.

Same here my watch stay connected throughout my entire house. That's what's so nice about it.
