Article from Gizmodo: Sorry Apple, the BlackBerry Z10 Is Hotter Than the iPhone
Just wanted to share this article with you "I" people before the 30th
Gizmodo, January 28, 2013:
Sorry Apple, the BlackBerry Z10 Is Hotter Than the iPhone
I've always hated BlackBerry phones. Disgracefully ugly bricks they were—until BlackBerry 10. If the RIM's new flagship Z10 device really looks like this—and apparently it does—and if the OS is as nice as it seemed at CES, I will totally snatch one up.
These BlackBerry Z10 vs iPhone 5 comparative renders by our friend Martin Hajek are amazing. Not only because they show off just how beautiful a phone RIM has built, but because they demonstrate why we should still care about BlackBerry. With hardware as lovely as this, it may still have a chance at coming back with a vengeance.
The comparative images were made by Martin using leaked physical data and pictures which are believed to be the real thing. I love that is has zero buttons. It does it all through the screen's touch abilities, and that's all you need.
Also, check out the renders for the N10—RIM's new model for the keyboard diehards—at the end. You can download Martin's amazing 3D models here.

Article from Gizmodo: Sorry Apple, the BlackBerry Z10 Is Hotter Than the iPhone
I have always been a fan of Blackberry devices and I've owned several dating back to the 7290. Having said that, I'm excited about the upcoming Blackberry devices, but I'm not going to put aside my iPhone to go and scoop one up. I've seen several photos of the upcoming devices, but pictures and videos are just that--pictures and videos. I want to see them in person. I'm thoroughly satisfied with my iPhone and have no intentions of giving it up anytime soon.

We'll reserve judgement until there actually is a BB 10 phone. Until that time, the iPhone is better because, well, it exists.

Re: Article from Gizmodo: Sorry Apple, the BlackBerry Z10 Is Hotter Than the iPhone
Funny, I was thinking the same thing. It continues to baffle the $hi+ outta me why people on both (or all for that matter) of the Mobile Nations sites can't just "be and let be". I started on CB a few years ago and found my way here when we picked up an idevice or two in the family. Along the way we've had WP and Droids at various times and a lot of the CB'ers have multiple devices also. Sheesh, some people. And quite frankly there is no perfect device. They all have their problems and that's proven by reading these forums. I personally am excited to see Rim and BB10 come to life. I love tech. All tech. Doesn't matter who makes it. My .02 anyway.

Re: Article from Gizmodo: Sorry Apple, the BlackBerry Z10 Is Hotter Than the iPhone
When BB10 becomes available, iOS will be the oldest available operating system, even Rene acknowledges this.
I'm convinced that some of the solid features of RIM's BB10 os, such as full multitasking and full on screen gestures WILL appear on future iPhones. - 01-28-2013, 10:27 PM #16

Re: Article from Gizmodo: Sorry Apple, the BlackBerry Z10 Is Hotter Than the iPhone
I think that people (CB'ers) come in to post things like this because for the past couple of years, our dear BB phone that we love (for various rational and irrational reasons) has been continuously bashed by the media and the public in general. You don't need to go too far to hear someone say BB is a brick or a piece of sheet and why don't you get with the program and get an iPhone. So when articles come out like this that say, 'Well perhaps RIM has caught up to the race - and maybe even passed the pack' we get a little too excited and just want to smush it back in everyone's face. A little immature, yes. But you can't deny the 'abuse' that we've taken in the past and we just can't help ourselves sometimes. I'm of the mindset myself that you should use the device that suits your purpose and try to avoid the fanboi'ism, but we know that it is rampant on all sides of the smartphone race. And at the end of the day, if its just all in fun and no one takes it personally then why not! Kinda like watching the Leaf's win the Stanley Cup this year. Right? huh? eh?

Re: Article from Gizmodo: Sorry Apple, the BlackBerry Z10 Is Hotter Than the iPhone
My .02
I choose to buy what suits my needs - just as you choose to buy what suits yours. To pass judgment on my decisions is no different than passing judgment on someone else's choice of a car, religious beliefs, or food choices. It's asinine, and it proves nothing but your own intolerance.
I don't care what anybody else uses. I really don't. I'm secure enough with my own beliefs that I don't need others to believe the same thing I do to feel confident that I've made the best decision for how I choose to live my life.
Perhaps if more companies took a hard look at the quality of products they were producing instead of looking over their shoulder or seeing what their competitors were doing... we'd all have better products than what we have now.
That, and no company - nor any of its devices - nor any platform - is perfect. This should be obvious. We all make choices, and forcing other people to agree with our own choices is just............

Re: Article from Gizmodo: Sorry Apple, the BlackBerry Z10 Is Hotter Than the iPhone
I would submit that the CrackBerry crowd has some sort of insecurity that causes them to flock to the forums about other devices to start threads like this. Personally, I agree with John Yester. If it works for you, great. If it doesn’t, well, keep looking.
But feeling the need to act on the impulses to "visit" other forums and "share" "news" fits on my scale somewhere between trolling and insecurity. I just find it entertaining that with the new BB device launching this week, certain of their fans feel the need to try to proselytize the interwebs. Frankly, the only part that bothers me is there incessant whining... I say to them "go home and preach to your choir".Last edited by Fausty82; 01-29-2013 at 08:48 AM.

BlackBerry 6 was supposed to revolutionize the BlackBerry. Nope.
BlackBerry 7 had the faster processors and liquid graphics and was sure to reinvent RIM and make BlackBerry number one again. BB7 made RIM fall even harder, towards the edge of sale and bankruptcy.
They skipped 8 and 9 and went straight to 10. Hopefully that's a big enough jump to leave the BlackBerry technology behind and get on even ground with modern operating Systems like iOS and Android. I think it may be a great OS, however, getting people to leave their invested platform may be a bit of a problem for RIM.
