Just wanted to get some thoughts if anyone has one and your opinion. Im thinking about getting one for my daughter for Xmas, instead of a tablet; she's a junior in high school.

Got one last week and I have been using it more then my iPad. I like more because of the keyboard and flash. Since she's will be using it for classes I would think the chromebook would be better then a tablet.

That's what I was thinking as well. How is it with everything having to be an app like a tablet?

It's great for me since I only surf the web and sometimes stream videos and works great. Have not tried out google apps like Microsoft office. But battery lasts long and instant boot is nice.

I don't see why not. They are similar. She's a quick learner

Ended up going with the Acer over the Samsung just cause it has the 320GB hard drive over the 16GB solid state driver on the Samsung. I know she'll need the extra storage. Can't believe how hard they are to find now. Sold out everywhere. Thanks for all the input.
