If so many like the Android then why is there?

A jailbreak for there phone? If it's suppose to be better then why would they need to jailbreak it?

It's not jailbreaking. It's called ROOTING. You use it to gain Root access to the system you normally wouldn't have access to. It's not for installing un-approved apps (unless you're on AT&T). You can "side-load" apps on any Android device (except AT&T, they have it blocked, which is where you would need Root access to bypass it). The average user really has no need to Root their Android device. One of the only things it was really used for was Wireless Tethering, which is now built into the 2.2 FROYO OS update anyway.

Also, no one says it's better than iOS. It might just be better for certain users than iOS.
