Default Switched to the note 3 with NO regrets from the iphone 5s

I had a chance to play with both phones for a week each. I had the iphone 5s and iPhone 5 prior.
I admire apple products alot, but when I got my 5s I wasn't all that happy. Yes the finger print scanner is great, slightly better processor and two flashes and the 64 bit architecture had something going on for it.
    BUT there was something missing.
I was using a note 2, then used my dad's note 3. Boy was I shocked at home amazing it works.
I played with it, read articles to see what is inside this bad boy. I tested applications. I did benchmarks, and was I impressed with its performance.
This is the first time I have used android. I used to hate it, but it's a good change.
The HD screen is mind blowing and the endless customization is overwhelming.

This article explains what you get out of the note 3 http://m.techradar.com/reviews/phone...1178226/review

    This phone is revolutionary.

Of course you don't...and this is what is hilarious to me...after all your post whoring, your constant barrage on the 5S forum about trading devices out and ordering new ones, and even going as far as to ask to be a moderator on iMore (or at least asking how to go about doing it)...and then in the matter of merely HOURS, you're completely off the wagon, iPhone is not worth your time, it is not "revolutionary" and the Samsung Note 3 is the best thing ever created by man, the most revolutionary device that there has ever been...it's amazing, right?

LOL!...and let me take a second to say that yes, I'm a stickler for a person owning and enjoying and being a proponent of the device that works best for them, I absolutely am...so this post may seem a bit hypocritical vs. what I normally stand by, but I have to say...your whole charade here seems almost comical, and I don't buy it for a second...especially from someone who was "using a Note 2"...really? And the Note 3 just magically landed in your lap without your knowing anything about it until AFTER you seemed to become one of the most excited and loyal iPhone fans on this forum (based on the absolutely IMMENSE amount of posts you constructed)?

I'm sorry, but even I, a person who has no interest at all in the Note devices, knew pretty much everything about the new Note 3 just from reading stuff online and seeing the release material.

Something tells me the OP is the type of person whom you could hand a phone straight out of a cracker-jack box and as long as it is the newest phone 'to-date', it will be the greatest thing since sliced bread in his eyes. I mean seriously, we were handed thread, after thread, after thread from the OP laboring over how great the 5S is. Wasn't it the OP who started a thread titled **Can't put my 5S down!** and then typed this in another of his plethora of other threads ""Conclusion : is it worth getting the iPhone 5S if you have the iPhone 5? ABSOLUTELY.
I have no regrets. I'm happy with my purchase."""

Lol you are the equivalent of cell phone bipolar. One minute the iphone 5S built your world in 7 days. Now the Note 3 is revolutionary and you 'weren't all that happy when you got your 5S'. Wait.........what? You weren't all that happy when you got your iphone 5S ?!?!?! I never would have gotten that impression from your relentless posting over the last 2 weeks.

But enjoy that Note 3...at least until the Nexus 5 comes.....which will last until the Galaxy S5 comes out, or the next HTC....or the next Motorola lol..

I'm glad you invest and even defend a company that straight up lies about it's products. It's comical to know that you love a device so much, especially since they fabricate the benchmark scores. It was found that the Galaxy Note 3 fabricated the scores by up to 20%

It did this by overclocking and using all 4 processors cores, it did this ONLY during benchmarking and NOT under normal operation. Enjoy your smoke and mirrors because that's all that device is.

My guess is he'll be flocking back in a few hours or so talking about how he ordered an iPhone 5c because the plastic casing was "revolutionary" and then about 10 more posts about the process leading up to the eventual delivery...where he'll use it for 5min. and then "buy" a Galaxy Mega (or whatever the hell that thing is called), citing that Apple lacks innovation, lol.

I just came back from Android . 2 years with S3 and S4.
The Note 3 is a great Device i know a few people that LOVE their Notes. I do find the size to big. Especially that i like to use my phone 1 handed.
Benchmarks mean nothing. Real world use counts. I noticed that My S4 started getting slower and slower as time passed... Nothing serious. Didn't really notice it till i got the ip5s

I like android and iOS.. I even like some stuff BB offers. Just get what you like and enjoy it.

Well if people were not like this, other companies would have survived the smart phone making business. Nevertheless let him venture wherever he likes as long as he likes it n paying for it. He seems quite high strung that's all.

I agree that people should get and enjoy the device that they like...this is certainly what makes having freedom of choice such a glorious thing. My hang up is the fact that honestly, I'd replace "high strung" with "disingenuous" with an ulterior motive. Just a hunch based on the very odd series of threads and posts that have been made here.

The HD screen is mind blowing and the endless customization is overwhelming. ....

I laughed until i cried. Every singe android I had was slow and especially after all that customization. The performance of android is best straight out of the box. iPhones keep working. (My wife's 4s is coming up on 2 years and only thing I had to do for it was get a new charging cable and new screen protectors. And she used her phone way more then me! This is a testimony to apple quality.) Yes the screen might be amazing but if I put diamonds in a turd and painted it chrome it's still what it was. I like samsung devices. I don't love them but I like them.

I swap back and forth every now and the and mainly bc I just like something new but I keep coming back to iPhone. Never tried windows or blackberry, don't want to. That's saying something. I'm not a fanboy of anything. I still think a Motorola razr flip phone from us cellular in 2007 was one of the best phones I ever had outside Apple. And the design of that was top notch.

    and this

Not just Samsung, all Android manufacturers cheating at benchmarks, except Motorola

Only difference is, Samsung's devices boost as many benchmarks as it can, where as other Android handsets boost one or two specific benchmarks. The Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 10.1 are the worst offenders.

Motorola, Nexus devices, and Apple are all free of boosting.

This might be my favorite out of all of this....

Hey Sek, did you happen to read the very last sentence of the article you decided to post as your reference to the revolutionary Note 3? It says:

"This is the best Galaxy Note smartphone to date and if you're a fan of the range then you'll love the Note 3 - but if you're looking for the best smartphone in the world you'll need to look elsewhere."

HA!! Basically, you just traded in the 'best smartphone in the world' to get the best Galaxy Note to date. This just keeps getting better.

Yup...I'm an a$$hole, but get out of here with this "iPhone isn't revolutionary, the Note 3 is." hog wash. I'm glad you found a device that works optimally for you, but why do I get this distinct feeling that your whole lead up was simply for attention so you could come to iMore and dump on the iPhone as a thorough bred Android fan?
Absolutely not. I have loved the iphone for so many years and yes It's is a big surprise that I changed my mind drastically without any heads up to all to all of you guys.

Here is my justification. I knew nothing about the note 3, until my aunt borrowed me her device, I was ignorant to the way android works due to my loyalty to apple since birth. I wouldn't even consider reading an article, or research any Android device until I had the phone to use until waiting for the phone I initially wanted.

This came to a surprise to me, so please I'm not speaking any hog wash mate!
My father is a tech guy too. He just picked up the note 3 a few days ago. He has gone away for work vacation the came back with this device which I knew nothing of and he sat me down and showed me just about all of its features.
I was blown away. It made me think if the iphone was truly worth it after using it for a bit or not.
I played with the note 3. I saw aspects that I liked which the iphone had. I used an iphone all my life and already knew what the experience was.
This alone got me looking more into what this device holds.
    So I started my research.
In essence I came to my decision after countless comparisons with the iphone 5s and what I can get my final buck out of both devices.
I also noticed there where features which I dint know about that would benefit me which the iphone lacked.

In saying all this I truely believe the iphone 5s is a remarkable product. I will always be an appel fan I heart.
I felt something was missing, although I was content with the device, it felt alot like an iphone 5 with minor changes.
Neuthertheless the iphone is a chilled product which is all about simplicity. I was getting bored of that.
That's what got me into the galaxy note 3.
So let me correct you and tell you a few things. I didn't come here for attention or to mock the iphone. I belive everybody is entitled to the air opinion. I felt I should share mine with the expectation of getting respect not ridiculed because of your subjective opinion of my logical desiccion.

Bottom line is I believe the iphone 5s and the galaxy note 3 are for 2 types of people.
    1. The iphone is for a man that enjoyes a tailored experienced with minimal intervention with a product of outstanding dimensions that speak for its own. The iPhone is for a person that wants simplicity.

    2. The galaxy note 3 is for a person that wants personalisation to its outmost. It's for a person that wants features that are diverse who can do just about anything he or she wants. This has a down fall for people who just want a simple experience.

That's my opinion of what I think about both devices.
I had no intention of ridiculing the iphone. I just thought it would be interesting to share my thoughts.
    It's a been a bumpy ride.

I used my dad's note for a few days straight. So I had the chance to play with it and compare it to my mother 5s. It got me thinking and I was able to test out a few things.

Subjective opinion of your choice? LOL...bud, I don't care if you use a vienna sausage for a smart phone, I never offered an opinion on your CHOICE, and I still feel that the Note 3 is a fine device that brings a lot to the table that warrants it's relevancy.

My problem was with your almost nauseating jock riding of the iPhone which then smashed ABRUPTLY into this completely polar opposite opinion of the iPhone. It was like 2 different people within the same profile, and I still don't buy it or a second.

Your activity was like watching a child playing with a new toy, then seeing another new toy and lighting the other toy on fire. That is not an over exaggeration.

Enjoy your tablet with all it's wonder and splendor while we mere mortals enjoy our "simplistic" and un"revolutionary" toy.
