Hi, I'm quite new to Mac and its fantastic but also frustrating as there's so much I don't understand.
I upgraded to Mountain Lion last week. Today I synced my iPhone firstly it duplicated all my contacts (saw I had 2 birthdays for every contact in Calendar). Then figured out I could merge all the duplicates on the Mac Contacts app and that solved the problem.
But now most of my contacts (the merged ones?) have a "" stored somewhere in the metadata and they are all stored under #, not alphabetically anymore. Makes it hard to find a particular contact. I can provide screen shots if needed.
Can anyone please advise me? Very frustrated. Also, I don't really use iCloud as I'm South African and bandwidth is very slow and expensive here, so I sync manually.
Any advice would be much appreciated!
